BoxPlus and Ark Intelligence, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Shandong Port Shipping & Port-of-Entry Services Development Conference, and jointly released a smart customs-clearance solution built on IBOX Reefer.

On October 31, 2025, BoxPlus was invited to Qingdao to attend the Shandong Port Shipping & Port-of-Entry Services Development Conference and Ark Intelligence Product Launch. At the event, BoxPlus, as an ecosystem strategic partner, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ark Intelligence Port & Port-of-Entry Services (Qingdao) Co., Ltd., establishing a deep, long-term partnership. The two parties will leverage IoT and AI to drive sustained collaboration in digital innovation and co-create a high-quality industry digital ecosystem.

BoxPlus has already been exploring cooperation with Shandong Port. Relying on the IBOX Reefer developed by BoxPlus, COSCO SHIPPING Holdings has built a new solution covering real-time temperature monitoring for reefer containers, data sharing, and customs collaboration. This solution not only significantly shortens cold-chain customs-clearance times, but also strengthens end-to-end regulatory capabilities, creating an efficient and secure new model for cold-chain clearance.

Electronic temperature-record submission is a standout feature that markedly improves efficiency:

Electronic transmission: Replacing paper submission of container temperature records with electronic transmission can reduce the average inspection waiting time for imported goods by 24–48 hours, markedly improving logistics timeliness and clearance efficiency. 
No re-plug temperature checks: Where conditions are met, eligible cold-chain goods can skip the re-plug-and-measure step, cutting equipment handling time and energy consumption and further accelerating inspections. 
Advance quay-side inspection: After e-declaration, goods can be scheduled for quay-side inspection in advance, saving an additional 2–3 hours on average.

With this product solution, container dwell time and related costs can be greatly reduced while turnaround efficiency improves. At the same time, customs gains full-process, end-to-end oversight of imported cold-chain goods—robustly safeguarding food safety and helping fresh products reach the markedly faster.

As of October 31, the product has been officially launched at Qingdao Port. This strategic partnership with Ark Intelligence affirms the results achieved so far, marks an important step for BoxPlus in deepening its presence in smart ports and expanding ecosystem cooperation, and is a practical move by both parties to cultivate new-quality productive forces, build a “win-win chain” for the port and shipping sector, and promote deeper integration of comprehensive supply-chain services.
